A combination of hits and misses
The amazing mountain view from my balcony made mornings special! The staff were really good, and the breakfast buffet offered a fantastic, diverse spread.
The checkout process was frustrating, and I had issues with bag collection that added unnecessary stress to my departure.

hotel is really in a picturesque location among the green mountains, be ready for the proximity of the road, smell of burning in the evenings and 4 hour transfer from Colombo airport... kitchen and pool are two places that have been delighted. Cooking is varied. Saturday nights, barbecues at the party. :)
If you change your plans and decide to leave the hotel earlier, you will not get your money back for the remaining days. Be careful. Besides, hotel is old. It can be felt in everything from the lobby to the bathroom in your room. administration is trying to keep the hotel in good condition, it seems to be getting more and more complicated every year. In the restaurant, windows are gutted and paint on the walls and ceiling has peeled off in some places. Somewhere it's been smeared, somewhere it's not. rooms have holes in the walls from the mirrors, shelves and something else. soundproofing in the rooms is bad. You can hear the neighbors and passing room service carts. There may not be enough beds by the pool in the middle of the day... There's a road nearby and you can really hear it... At 5 a. m., they start singing songs in the next temple, in the evening, fires start burning around. Dawn can only be seen from rooms with Jacuzzi.

best of the hotel facilities and buffet that is very complete.
It is not normal for us to be charged at the hotel 2 days before arrival, it is the only hotel that did this during our 15 day trip in SriLanka. We were a group of 6 people and we booked with one card and charged all the rooms to the same person! When we said it couldn't be done, the only option was to pay separately again and in 10 days we would get our money back! Another thing that was in bad taste, was that in the dining room they forced us to leave the backpacks outside without any control, they were really inflexible with us, however we saw some English women who left the dining room with theirs and when they told the person who was there, he told us that they had only gone out to see the terrace. Outrageous. The place is very nice, but I understand that a hotel of this category should treat all its clients well.

Certain room furnishings could use a thorough cleaning!!! The high prices for extra services were a letdown. The games area being closed was also quite disappointing!!!

The location in a very beautiful area was beautiful and lovely and there were a market and shops nearby.
Well, the views were pretty bad here.

Located a little away from the frenzied and fussy Candi, and believe me, you won't want to get out of it. Because you won't have enough nights of arrival to just try all the variety of dishes served for breakfast. (Not to mention dinner) :) You also won't have a week to fully enjoy the stunning pool and experience all the massages that the spa centre offers :) So if for some reason you've been in Candi for a little longer, it's better to save a couple of tens of Euros on something else than to miss out on a hotel like this ;p!
Do you seriously want me to write about the disadvantages of a 5-star hotel where you get licked head to toe :) and the price of a bed in a good-quality hostel in Zurich, Switzerland ? - Leave it alone ! And some small things like a quick wifi at ~3mbit/s can not change the hard 10!

comfortable stay with room for improvement
The staff provided really good service, always ready to assist with a smile. The buffet meals offered a great variety and delicious options. The balcony view from my beautiful room was fine, overlooking lush green forests and mountains. I particularly loved relaxing by the beautiful pool with its super quiet place and forest view.
the check-out process felt a bit too routine for such a cute hotel.

Everything. Food was delicious though room service was a bit pricy. Hotel was breathtakingly beautiful blending with nature and background scenery. This was also our honeymoon hotel back in December 2001 and the hotel was therefore special. Lovely pool and room even had a jacuzzi bath. Waiters were specially friendly. We had a lovely time.
Room service was bit too expensive.

hotel is located in a very picturesque place, architecturally it also pleases the eye: the bridge between rooms and main part of the hotel, mountains, local nature - everything is very beautiful. Spacious balconies and a great view from them. service is at the highest level, helpful Staff. room was spacious, at the request it was placed on the top floor with a view of the mountains. Insects and monkeys did not disturb us. interior is interesting, the rooms have unusual stone inserts, beautiful garden. rooms and hotel are kept clean. It's really cozy, nice to be here, I'd like to stay there longer.
The hotel's not new at all, you can see that. For a long time it makes sense to make a small cosmetic repairs. The menu and breakfasts could be a little more varied.

Earl's Regency in Kandy surprised me with its fantastic location. The view from my Junior Suite was amazing, overlooking the lush greenery and the Mahaweli River. The room was spacious, clean, and offered a serene atmosphere. Breakfast stole the show, with a wide variety of delicious dishes. Staff were attentive, especially Dilshan at the restaurant, always ready to help. The large pool was a great spot for relaxation, keeping my kids entertained most of the time. The check-out process felt cumbersome with the insistence on returning the key card, which caught us off guard during our tour. This aspect could definitely be streamlined. I had a great time, but some minor service adjustments would improve the overall experience.

Rooms, location, cleanliness all very good, Breakfast was excellent.
An over attentive staff member who was constantly after tips on numerous occasions which had a negative effect on an otherwise pleasant stay.

Beautiful rooms and location
We had three rooms and all of them were under equipped. We were constantly asking house keeping for things that were expected of a 5 star facility. The room services and restaurant staff are not well trained. Food was also quite disappointing.
